Books arrived before Xmas. Have had a quick look through.

Small (A5?) Print on demand by Amazon. I opted for the hardback version. Artillery off-white paper, MGs white paper.
Artillery book 314 pages MGs 112 pages.
Illustrated throughout with photos of in action and in museums. Technical plans mostly side view only, Schneider Canet has an overhead view in addition. Photos are not the best reproduction, but adequate.

Artillery book covers C19th, developments, Mondragon designed guns, foreign guns, domestic & improvised guns, rifle and hand thrown explosives, naval guns, short appendices on tactical use, factions and biographies.

MG book covers Gatling, Mexican designs, Colt, Hotchkiss, Maxim, Madsen, Vickers, Lewis and Browning MGs also some armoured an unarmoured vehicles they were mounted on.

For the casual player, probably too specialised, but for anyone with a real interest, probably essential. I suspect it's the sort of book that will disappear.
There are others on small arms in the series, but very specialist.

I forgot that there are some short sections on things I was unaware were used in the Mexican Revolution - rocket launchers and rifle grenades.

There are also some interesting bits on vehicles, both armoured and unarmoured, with some about tank development post revolution.
