For all Bernard Cornwall fans, 'The Winter King' has just been released on ITV X, obviously an adaption from the Cornwall book. Ten episodes, plan to start watching over xmas.

We don't get ITVX over here.

Thanks Dave. I'd never even heard of ITV X - guess I need to watch more TV!

It's been around most of this year. It's an app, it's the ITV version of BBC iplayer.

Thanks Miles - very good to know!

That is also an app for modern day TV,which is free.  If you go premium I think you also get Britbox as well ?

I really dislike adverts and will pay a small fee not to have them.
One has to be careful about exiting these services as there are often cons attached.
Freevee was the worst.  Argh!
I dislike US TV when I am there too. Very disruptive and ends up as background "scrambled egg".

ITV X, in my opinion, is a terrible streaming service. You have to watch the adverts and even though you're forced to register it doesn't remember where you stopped an episode part way through, so you have start from the beginning again.

I won't use it.

Best wishes, Martin from Grimsby

Ah, so not quite like the BBC equivalent, then. I'd forgotten about adverts...

Oh well, definitely unavailable in the Netherlands. However we do get some great dutch films, like Zwart Boek about the Dutch resistance.
