You have packed everything for your day away wargaming.
Have you ever forgotten something important?
How did you overcome adverse fortune?

You'll see tomorrow morning, Martin!  ;D

I remember a game that for an unlikely set of reasons nobody (out of 8 - 4 a side!) turned up with a tape measure! This was in the days when gridded wargames didn't exist outside of cardboard counter based games and so we all resorted to your own troops moved and fired in handspans, the length of your middle finger, elbow to fingertip etc. In some ways a new element of "realism" was created as not many troops moved or fired the same as many others.

I'm always forgetting the little things like casualties or a pen or a gaming mat. Regardless of how much I prepare, I know that when I get to my venue, there will be something I've left in an obvious place so that I dont forget it.

I've stopped worrying now and accept that this is my lot in life.

I can't recall a game when I've forgotten stuff. However when I emigrated three years ago I forgot one of my wargame boxes. It was one containing a number of rule books (including Square Bashing). Nothing for it; the only way to deal with the problem was to buy them again.

I managed to forget to bring a list of me forces to today's show...
