Stewart and Weymouth Mike  (Indians)
martin and Dennis (Successors)

Very small win to the successors. Basically a draw.  Good victory dice rolls.

Both sides used elephants. 4 per side.  They were effective.
The successor phalanx was half levy and half trained. No veterans in the successor army.

Game started with 5 successor units off table. Ouch.

A real battering fight started between a  successor pike zone and  Indian spear zone. I think there were 4 fights. The Indians lost their general and gave ground. They soon rallied  and came back again. A marvellous  set of fights.

The successor right flank was rolled up by Indian archers.
The successor left flank danced around a bit but was beaten by more Indians.

The Indian bowmen even assaulted some levy pikemen and put them to flight. Levy...Oh dear!

Some wonderful dice rolls made the game  a real "edge of death" combat.

Nice to hear so many heffalumps were fielded. Most Ancients games I have seen reported in the past downgraded them to a token model or two each in an effort to 'balance' the various parts of armies.

Good observation Neil.
Of course CK is just as biased as other rule sets.
If you like the RFCM bias then that is excellent.
If you don't there are many other sets out there.
