As per usual here is a set of reminders for Bloody Barons players.
Do feel free to question or add to it.

1. Cavalry just arrive, charge and then go again. No matter whether they win or lose the target ward will be out of order and a good target for an infantry assault in that same turn.
2. Cavalry have 11 "asset points" for arrival. But they cannot charge a ward unless it is in the open, on a gentle hill or a stream  Ditches, hedges, buildings, woods and rough hill prevent cavalry assaults.
3. Only use cavalry against wards that are in a bit of trouble, otherwise the cavalry will get  bashed.

4.A single ward with no enemy wards in face contact can recover at turn end. Roll per unit. 3,4,5,6=  adda half bases back on.

5.Guns can only shoot directly forward. 6= kills not hits. 4D6 big gun. 2D6 small gun. Guns are erratic bit  can be worth the points. An opponent might sidestep the gun line though. Gun shooting can be re-rolled as can bow shooting.  No hits can be place on guns. Remember to turn guns clockwise.

6. Each zone on the table is worth 1D6 (except two defender base zones at 2D6). Zone ownership is cancelled by opponent zone ownership.   Extra zones are VERY worth having for the D6 they are each worth.

7. Generals gifts. The morale gift is very useful because even 1 fail is bad news.

8. Putting scenery in the way of an opponent's advance is a good idea. This is because they have to roll 11 on 3D6 to get out. Thus a  couple of levy units could hold up an advance.

9.Rear support needs more than 4 bases. The xtra 2D6 in a fight is worth having.

10. More better units is a good thing. Better = 3.5 or greater width (fresh troops), win marker or household.

11. Hand gunners can nibble away at the enemy. Worth having.

12. Generals . Add 1 or 2D6 to a fight but their save then becomes  4,5,6 and 5,6 respectively.

Bloody Barons is pretty simple set of rules (I reckon).
Players need to read the turn sequence on the platy sheet for the first couple of turns.

I suggest that all players look at the free to download playsheet and battle sheet on the PP rules website. Read them and the games will go better.
