Some more in depth rule clarifications.
These are clarifications not changes.
These are clarifications not changes.

1. If a search action is successful (needing a 5,6) the searcher then needs to roll D6 per base and score at least one score of 6. If no 6 is scored then search marker gone and search is unsuccessful.   Then roll aD6 per player and higher scorer chooses  type of plunder.

2.Skimishers save on 3,4,5,6 in all circumstances.

3. Skirmishers need to be assaulted in order to  clear them out of the way.

4.  Whilst casualty bases are still present they contribute to the size of the unit . This is important when requiring a unit to have more than 4 bases in order to maintain a  shield wall. ie only 4 bases= automatic removal of shield wall marker and unit automatically in march formation.

5. General allows re-roll of morale and pursuit. General does not allow re-roll of fight D6.

6. Shooting range for units = 3 squares which can include 1 diagonal square.

7. Skirmishers can only shoot in proximity to their square.

8. Before it appears, the initial defender unit does not count as a supporting or proximity unit.

9. Units do not move a square if opponent wins a round of a fight. Only fall back if choose to withdraw.

10 Units can only elect to withdraw in their own turn or if  a new assault/harrasing attack is made upon them.
e.g. a unit is fighting and suddenly a new enemy charges in on their flank ( harassing attack) . The unit can react by saying "I am withdrawing".
Withdrawing can be carried out by units without spending action points/rolling for an action.   e.g. the army may have failed a motivation but other units can still attempt to withdraw.

11. When carrying out the pre-game, the R=risk D6 should be rolled before the reward (D6+3) d6. That is for clarity only.

12. In the pre game be aware that some arows allow travel in both directions. It might be better to build up one aspect very high to get a big reward.

Hope this helps.

The General can position himself in the front rank of a unit and so claim the extra 1 D6 for Action rolls. He therefore becomes a target for hits in a fight. If not in the front rank he avoids hits but adds no extra D6 to Action rolls.
