GOTO battle tactic

The GOTO battle lactic has not been used much. Partially because it is in only some armies and also because players do not seem to fancy it(?)

Here is the new idea.
Use before movement but after morale.
Allows a unit to swap places with a unit in a face touching zone.
This can be done twice.
GOTO would really help players move powerful units to a different zone. It would also help units who are stuck in scenery to get out by swapping with a more  mobile unit.

Sounds better Martin but would both primary units to move have to be in the square with the battle tactic?

Being able to swap a unit in from anywhere into the face of the enemy sounds a bit unrealistic to me. Have I misunderstood? Wouldn't it make more sense to be able to swap a supporting unit into the face of the enemy, like feeding fresh troops into a melee.

Yep, I agree. The ability to move one unit seems a bit lack-luster compared to the obvious value of many of the other tactics and it need changing.

I agree with John on this one.  It would have to exclude any zone that has an enemy on its face.

Perhaps allow all troops in zone to move to any zone in the same row or towards the players own table edge that has no enemy in face contact. This would allow a force in a flank row to switch to the opposite flank or move to support and provide rear support as needed.  I would be more inclined to use this than anything else.

If this sounds a little too hefty could always add the condition that every unit moved must have 1 dice rolled. A result of 1 the unit goes into reserves instead of arriving.
