BAW basing with 40mm wide bases

I know the rules call for 30mm square basing but to match opponents and the other rules set we use locally I'm likely going to use DBX basing (so typically 40 x 20 mm for foot and 40 x 30 mm for mounted) for my Japanese figs.

So looking to people who have played the game, would this require any changes in measuring etc do you think in a BAW game?

That is really good to know!... I started my Samurai with a view to playing out a DB* mini campaign. Although they are still w.i.p. I would hate to have to reorganise and rebase my Hojo clan again.
