I'm currently working on a video battle report for Bloody Barons as part of my long term project to record a battle for every Peter Pig ruleset.

All set up now ready to go. Sorry Rob Roriston, Earl of Dorset has command of one wing but has ended up an unreliable general!

If anyone saw my very dodgy Regiment of Foote report you'll recognise that  some of the other commanders are ancestors of their ECW counterparts.

Hopefully I'll get to record the game  tomorrow!

What an army...  :o
So beautifull with all their flags and banners... And very well painted...

Superb !!

Nice figures Sean but wrong size?

That is a nice table and set of figures, Sean - good work!

Very nice indeed Sean. Not sure why they have been called the wrong size, as they appear to be PP figures.

Some in game pictures. Around turn 4 or 5. Sir Henry Meecham has somewhat disgraced himself by running away from a fight, but Edward Milton has fought bravely!

Video to come when the game is done.

Colonel Kilgore

Very nice, Sean!

That Meecham family tree is a bad one...  ;D

Sorry Andy.
It is an "in joke".

Sean put on a lovely game of Towton at the Midlands show.(2018?)

Some chap came across to Sean and informed Sean that he was doing it in the wrong figure size.
Helpfully the chap added that he himself was going to do it in 25mm which is the proper figure size.

The chap is now kept at a distance with a stick which can be thrown away if it gets too much poo on it.

martin :)

I was scarred for life after that experience. I know my place.

;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  Oh I know how you guys feel. The Liverpool club usually puts on a little display of the variety of figures it uses next to its game(s) at Phalanx. One year I had some FPW 15mm Saxon lancers on display, to demonstrate that even the German troops could be colourful. Some random nobody breezed by and stated quite happily that they did not have enough shading. There do seem to be a number of nobodies at these shows who have all the social graces of a clod of earth.

Ok the video is virtually done for this complete play through. However, it runs to over 3 hours. This is mainly because I'm spending a lot of time explaining things and when you play solo I think games go slower anyway. This game would probably take 2 hours between two consenting sensible people.

My question to you the potential viewer is do I split it up into 1 hour chunks or leave it as a 3 hour epic extravaganze ala Ben Hur or The Fall of the Roman Empire?

My one plus for the epic version is that it can be watched in parts if required using just the one video. I wonder whether I ought to cut it down to just the important bits, making it perhaps an hour at most. A lot more work for me though. The version as it stands shows the game in it's entirety and might be useful for those who don't know what The Bloody Barons is.

Any thoughts?

Colonel Kilgore

Sean,

I see beauty in small things  ;)

Personally, it's unlikely that I'd sit through 3 hours of video. But I might watch 4 x 15 minutes.
