A company from the British Battalion of the 15th International Brigade, for the Battle of Jarama. These figures were so much fun to paint. I liked mixing a few different packs together to give them a "scruffy" look. They're part of my Big SCW project, which I'm trying to catalogue on my blog at https://airtscorner.blogspot.com/search/label/Spanish%20Civil%20War?m=0

Thanks

Misneach  :)

Niiiiiiice  :)

To your relief, there has been a long term controversy about Panzer Is in Spain camo scheme. In the end, it seems likely that both 3-colour and panzergrau patterns actually coexisted there. Somewhere I've learnt as a likely hypothesis that the first batches of mark A panzers were delivered in the 3-colour scheme also in force in Germany, while later deliveries (these including some mark B tanks) were painted in the later panzer grey.

Part of these panzers were directly manned by Condor Legion personnel (who perhaps were prone to observing their own country's regulations in the matter), but those adscribed to Nationalist Army could also have been repainted in particular 2-colour or 3-colour versions of their choice.

Soooooo... plenty of allowance there, I'd guess  ;)

Thanks Lluis  :)

Some more "research" made me think it's actually quite likely that some were painted in panzergrau. The nickname "negrillos" for these tanks implies that they were a dark colour. I've also seen some black and white footage with Nationalist Panzer Is painted one colour all over, which probably was grey
