I've looked in vain on the net to find anyone who makes wattle/wicker fences in 12 - 15mm for my Celtic villages.
I REALLY don't want to have to make them from scratch in this scale :(
Can anyone suggest a source?

Regards,

Hi J,

Irregular Miniatures do a nice piece in metal but I always prefer the 'organic ' looking pieces like that one from Hoka Hey. It's whybrid I use S&A scenics hedges for instance.

Museum Miniatures do some really nice wattle fences that I use...

Scroll down in their ECW sections to the carts and equiptment bit.

BF03 x 3 sections for 2.50 GBP

Really nice.  About 4" runs from memory. White metal.  Can be cut easily into shorter lengths.

All good info but does anyone have any data re: height of these fences? I need them for 10mm figures, either as fences able to be shot over or head height. It's really for decoration on BUA templates but has to look right.

I'm on hols in Cornwall at the moment but when I return in a week I'll post you some pics.

The Museum Miniatures ones, from memory, allow Peter Pig figures pretty much to fire over so they may be OK with 10mm figs.

I have returned.  As promised pics of the Museum Miniatures wattle fences alongside PP ECW figs.  I don't have any 10mm to illustrate next to them.

VERY sturdy, white metal, but can be cut to shorter lengths.  Mine are stuck to craft sticks.  Hope this helps you make decisions.

They look just the job Kev. Must keep my eye open for them at Warfare - my list is getting longer!

Thanks for the tip about the Museum Miniatures fences. Just bought a few packs. Several of mine were incomplete castings, but I wasn't too worried - added some extra variety, and a used look to the fences.
