Chaps,
you may or may not have heard that Stuart Asquith passed away yesterday evening.
His contribution to wargaming goes back many years and needs no elaboration from me.
He was a good and generous friend and a constant source of inspiration to me for almost 40 years.  I am sad beyond words and will miss him.

Stewart 46A

Sorry for your loss Stephen, it's a hole at the gaming table that can never be filled.

Grim news indeed.
Always seemed a nice chap. He was often at the Tonbridge show I think it was? Had a nice collection of 40mm ACW.
Such people are always going to be a loss to our hobby.
RIP

Colonel Kilgore

Very sorry to hear that. He was probably the writer I read the most when I started out in the hobby. I always enjoyed his articles in Military Modelling.

Sean Clark

Yes to add to the condolences to you and his family and friends.

Along with Featherstone, Wesencraft, Quarrie and Grant, his name was synonymous with the hobby.

Leman (Andy)

I was really sad to hear about it this morning. Practical Wargaming is the only magazine where I have kept all the copies I ever bought. He will be a great loss to the hobby.

Saw this tweet the other day. I thought I would share it with you guys.

Here is a better version of the picture.
