Markers

The Western game requires a few markers.

Firstly, each player needs 8 "partial cover" markers (unless the Defender chooses to give theirs up, in exchange for a "track" - railroad or dirt road):

The cacti are from Peter Pig, while the rocks are cast in Polyfilla from Woodland Scenics' rock moulds.

Wounded markers are also needed. Martin has sculpted some very nice new ones, but I already had a bunch of "dead" (which I now have to consider as just being winged and resting, until revived by a lucky 6).

I have 8 casualties from each of a couple of different packs, plus 5 others (at the front of the shot) from some of the PP character packs.

In the (admittedly few to date) games I've played, I've never needed so many one time: I'm guessing that 16 should be probably be enough in most circumstances.

If I were using the recently-sculpted wounded figures instead, I'd be tempted to put them on smaller / different bases to those used for normal groups to avoid confusing the fit and the not-so-fit fighters.

The Defender has the option of up to two Liabilities. I copied Martin's idea of using WW2 14th Army mules, to which I added a couple of cowboys. The one on the left is the figure Martin has sculpted as a "special" for members of this Foum, while that on the right is "Old Gabby" from pack #84 (whose mule is on the other base).

Veteran figures are suggested to use an eagle base to represent their status:

Average bases do not need any status markers, but dogs (taken here from a mix of the two PP dog packs) are used for Raw fighters (one marker per group), so you typically don't need this many:

Nice you have been busy

Colonel Kilgore

Thanks Stewart - I had a major push on to get lots of stuff ready for the recent Western Day. I may have overdone things...

You will have to put them to good use at the WWW

Very good point Stewart!
