Lovely builds, takes a  lot of time to research the rolling stock and engines and looking at pictures to then try to recreate the models. They look really good.

Simon check out these Youtube videos to help you save money on your washes.
These are "the ones I really like" and "I have been pleased with the results by using".

"Best" is most commonly  applied to opinions. e.g Lahmian medium is not the best medium,   e.g, home made is the best for painting.   and e.g Peter Pig has the best models in the whole world.

and

These will also help to explain how these things work and how they will help you with your painting.

I have been pleased with the results by using Secret Weapon washes. They are available from Wayland Games who have a 20% discount on at present.

So that probably makes them the best price as well litre for litre.

Sorry to disagree Paul, the best are from Secret Weapon. They are a bit harder to get though.

4 units of Vets would have a lot of options going, re-rolls, extra dice, slightly easier morale.

Use the army painter tones, but usual thinned down a bit.

The strong tone is good over a mid brown for dark skinned natives.

Hope you managed to get your new brush as well.
