Thanks chaps. I'll certainly delve further after our latest family visit to the UK.

Martin, I'd like to think I could get down to PPHQ this time but CinC Home might want a say in the matter....

Andy, where are you based in the Netherlands? I'm near Brussels.

Best to all.

I might be missing something very obvious but nevertheless I can't find any reference to PP mats in the product lists.  Could someone please let me know where to find them and put me out of my misery!  Many thanks in advance.

Just to throw a spanner into the works....
The first time I played PBI at a show in Ghent, many moons ago (snow terrain IIRC), I went away thinking (a) What a great game!, and (b) How can I transfer the grid system to low level engagements in the Peninsula?
The butterfly effect intervened however, and sadly nothing much was done.  Nevertheless, I like to think it might have worked
Best to the PP Team.  Keep up the great work!
Best,
Stephen

Announcements and Shows / Crisis 2021
April 30, 2021, 09:27:20 AM
This just in from the Tin Soldiers of Antwerp.

From our chairman It is with great regret that we have to announce that Crisis 2021 will not be happening. The pandemic situation without clear view on what will be possible in November and under which conditions such as, how many are allowed through the door, will there be a possibility to organise the kind of shows we had in the past where, let's face it, social distancing is not happening at all. Not knowing if any travelling will be able. Will catering be possible ? The simple calculation between cost and worst case scenario revenue, make it unwise to organise a Crisis in 2021. On top of that the Brexit situation with more than 50% of the traders that are usually attending no longer able to do so without huge customs problems doesn't make it any easier either. Let's hope that 2022 is a better year on November 5th(I know Guy Fawkes night). And who knows a change in UK politics. Keep safe. Johan, President of the Tin Soldiers of Antwerp.

Very sad but a sensible decision.  The question that has to be asked however is, will it ever recover?
I'll say no more.  People will guess my point of view on certain subjects....

Best,

Stephen

Looks like I'm going to have to order PP stuff and have it sent to my son in Southampton.  Though God knows when I'm going to be able to get over.....  the tragedy is for all the gamers living this side of the Channel who do not have the chance to get stuff delivered within the UK (VK...but for how much longer?) to pick up later.  I have heard that many smaller gaming companies rely on their European trade and risk all wef 1/1/21.
Words fail me....

So glad to hear you are back home and on the mend Martin.  Take care of yourself.
Warmest regards from less than sunny Brussels.

Same here in Belgium from this coming Monday.
Inevitable given the catastrophic situation here....
At least we can still wander around a bit more easily than in France (no written laissez passer required).  But can't end up in the village for a coffee or beer cos all bars and restaurants closed last week already 😓
Not so much to do in the garden now so less excuse not to get on with painting the toys😁.
Best to all and stay well.

Call me a spoilsport if you will but I thought that horses always keep one hoof on the ground even when galloping.

If we're getting into Hollywood celebs, please don't forget those in the movie 'The Professionals'.
Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Woody Strode.....oh, and Claudia Cardinale......😁
