When you have forty odd you can compile them in a book and sell it and make your fortune!

Conquerors and Kings / Where are the army lists?

Martin,
Where are the army lists on the website? Perhaps because I am accessing the website on my mobile phone, I really cannot see them anywhere.
Thanks

The Swiss army fought with Lorraine cavalry allies at the Battle of Nancy in 1477 against Charles the Bold's Burgundians. So I would suggest there is a case for cavalry to be present - rarely!

Results seem pretty historically correct to me!

One of my very first armies. Back in the mists of time I bought Peter Laing Gauls and Romans. Then I was seduced by 25mm. My 15mm armies are long lost but still missed!

Martin, the Conquistadors had more crossbows than arquebuses. One account has them with only 12 arquebuses. However scary the guns may have been to the Aztec their killing power in a battle must have been minimal. The last army in your army lists Japanese has way more muskets! The Conquistadors just seem too much fun as a wargames army and also an opponent to the Aztec.
The Conquistador part of their army list is looking like:

Close order infantry armoured shield 1-2, 0-1 pike 0-2 veteran
Close order infantry armoured shieldless missiles 1-2, 0-2 veteran
Cavalry armoured shield shock 0-1, 0-1 veteran
Chariot (war dogs) shock 0-1
Artillery 0-4
And then plus native allies (not quite finished).

Hi Derek,
I would not argue with your amendment. Conquistadors I can have a stab at, but the other armies I have no idea about. I remember watching Nigel Stillman's Inca army fight one evening in Reading oh more than 40 years ago. Maya etc I know even less!
All the best

Aztec Army List:

Close order infantry Veteran Shield 3-5,  0-1 elite 0-2 missiles 0-3 shock
Close order infantry trained shield 1-4, 0-4 levy
Close order infantry trained missiles shieldless 1-3, 0-3 levy
Auxiliary infantry trained shield 1-12, 0-12 levy,  0-6 missiles of which shieldless 0-4
Foot skirmishes 4-10

Note the veteran close order are the various foot knight orders and priests. The rest of the army is frankly anyone's guess! Close order v Auxiliary? Trained v Levy? Missiles? Left this as a choice in the army lists.

Done on my phone so apologies for the formatting. Conquistador army list to follow, just trying to sort out the compulsory units.

Martin, I notice in your army lists some cavalry is listed as having lance and some infantry is listed as having spear. There does not seem to be a points cost but is a significance in the rules?
Asks Steve as I put together an Aztec list and a Conquistador list.

The 3 WRG army lists books can be found free on John Curry's History of Wargaming site
http://www.wargaming.co/recreation/details/pb6thedition.htm
Very useful for conversion to C&K!

Some useful free army lists for conversion can be found at
http://www.dadiepiombo.it/pdf/basiclists.pdf
These are the lists for Basic Impetus 1.0. I do not agree with some parts and the abbreviations take a bit of getting used to but they give a quick overlook of a multitude of armies.

Nubian example list:
Close order infantry bowmen no shield 18+4-8 is 14 points not 15
Auxiliary infantry spear why 13 each and not 11?

Lydian example list:
Should all 4 cavalry be armoured as per the army list which would indeed give 128 points but only two armoured gives 114 points.
2 Auxiliary infantry spear should be 22 not 26?
