Hi guys,

I've just started playing Square Bashing & have a rules question. French QF artillery costs extra points (18 vs 15) but I can't see any benefit they have under the rules. The Army Book refers readers to the main rules but I can't find anything further in there.
Do they throw extra dice or perhaps need a 5 or 6 to hit instead of a 6? Or is the Euro/£ exchange rate just poor and they simply cost more?

I have just scanned the rule book again but still can't find it stated in there. Perhaps it was in the first edition but never copied over into the later edition. Still, doesn't matter as I am happy to go with your suggestion. Cheers!

Thanks for all the kind comments. I noted that the pictures are showing upside down. Oops! Not sure why but I'll try to post any futures ones the right way up 

Re Col. Kilgore: The castle walls and gatehouse are from OSHIRO; I simply added a small moat to the wall base. I can post further photos in the future if anyone is interested. I've also 'repurposed' the odd fish tank building or temple bought at the local pet store. A repaint can be really effective.

Re Spartacus: I live in Billericay in Essex. My nearest club is the Essex Warriors in Writtle.

Hi all,

As I'm new to this forum, I thought that I would post these couple of pictures as a test.
I currently have four clans for the Age of War rules with the vast majority being Piggy figures. I've had all the figures painted for a number of years now, but just haven't managed to play any games with them as yet apart from a couple of small test games. 
Now that I've retired, I plan to play a few more solo test games to familiarise myself with the rules so that I can play this colourful period in its full glory.
