The Men of Company B / Re: Nostalgia . . .
March 15, 2022, 06:30:15 PM
Indeed ! And the carriers carried troops ! It's even got riverine rules, but the big question is: Can anyone point me at the "Fat Wally variant " ? I know they were on the old rfcm site but sadly I can't find them now.

The Men of Company B / Nostalgia . . .
March 15, 2022, 11:09:08 AM
. .  .isn't what it used to be. I saw a set of the "old" MoCB rules on ebay for a fiver so I picked them up. Now I'm wondering if anyone out there has a copy of Fat Wally's ammendments,  scenarios and revised army lists for same ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated 😉
      Cheers,
           Tony.

Mexican Revolution / Re: New book from Caliver

I bought a copy (song with a set the "La Cucaracha" rules ) and can highly recommend it. It contains a brief (but concise) history of the revolution and a number of scenarios for real and imaginary actions covering the various stages of the conflict. The scenarios are probably feared for users of Black Powder but since I don't use them I couldn't swear to it but could easily be adapted for other rules.
I purchased a set of "La Cucaracha" rules thinking them to be skirmish level and was pleasantly surprised to find that they are closer to the RFCM "small battle" with 5 units to a force. There are rules for individual characters , trains, armoured cars, aircraft and Germans .The scenarios in "Viva la Revolucion" can be easily adapted for them.
I hope you find this helpful,
       Take Care and Merry Christmas,
           Tony.

Mexican Revolution / Re: Gun/HMG bases

Apart from the additional artillery bases have there been any more changes to the armies ? Or are they still 3/4/5 units of 8 bases plus additions and assets ?
Take Care and if you read this, get well soon Martin 😉

Martin, I have decided to explore a new avenue based on your reply to my reply ! I've never seen the appeal of the skirmish game BUT I have decided to give it a go ! I don't know if you have seen the Partizan "La Cucaracha" rules for Mexican Revolution skirmishes but I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a set 🤔 (but I'm still getting FfM when it hits the press).
     Take Care,

Never understood the appeal of skirmish, the bigger the battle the better 😁 Well I look forward to publication,

Excellent ! If you're only doing a limited run can I pre-order ? Call me a dinosaur but I much prefer "the real thing" 😁

So the big question is : "When do you (finally) publish ? And an equally big question : "Are you doing a hard copy or is it PDF only ?" (I think it deserves a hard copy after all of the waiting).

Cheers 😁 You could probably get away with head swaps for the sailors and marines as the headgear for both was distinctive (I think the marines used an 8 sided peaked cap and still do) but the field uniform would have been "light kit".
Thanks for the reply,

Mexican Revolution / Figures

Just wondering about plans for the figure range. Can we expect to see Northern/Late government cavalry in the near future ? Also U.S. cavalry, sailors and marines ? I also saw some mention in the forum of U.S. Lmg teams.
      Take Care,

Mexican Revolution / Re: Army Lists ? (Again)

Hold on to that thought Pierre 😉 I might use it (or something similar) if  I start modifying MCB for 6mm "big battle" 😁
