I quite like a dice tower to make things completely fair.
For 28mm games I have a few MDF ones that are scenic items.
The only 15mm scenic one that I'm aware of is a SF one from Warbases

Good news.
Hope it stays that way.

Land supplement is one of the "lost children".
I am also looking for Hoka Hey.
I will find them eventually (?).  Then  will put them up for free.

martin :)

are you still looking for Hoka Hey?

If you want it typed up rather than just a scanned version, send it up to sunny Scarborough and we'll give it a shot.

We actually had a couple of remote PBI games recently.
Alasdair is working from his flat in York at present but I had use of Glynis' cloth cutting table.
I have fitted a webcam to a piece of wood over the table so Alasdair can (just about) see what's going on.

I've used the table for remote games in 28mm but this was our first attempt at 15mm.
Worked fine because you can number the grid.

Took a bit longer to play because of occasional slow internet, and relies on totally honest reporting of dice rolls, but better than no gaming at all.

I use them, and own pretty much all of the destroyed vehicle markers, multiples of each. Even the overturned westerns wagon has its place. The AK-47 T-55 also found use, including some dressing up with bits to make wrecks for 1980's east german tanks.

hadn't considered the overturned wagons, but will look at those too

Grumbles / Re: Death certificates

There's a LARP site that specialises in props for Cthulhu Live which used to have (amongst other things) asylum certificates, mortuary toe-tags, and death certificates.
I suppose you could just print your own.... of course it would mean the death toll for Arkham County would spiral again....

We have a few, but generally need more wrecked half-tracks and soft-skins than tanks.

Also, since we have multiple forces (British, German, Russian, Italians, Finns, Poles, French, US) in some cases with different versions (early/mid/late war) we need lots of different ones.
Luckily Martin has sculpted some very useful pieces.

Thankfully we have avoided the Pacific so far, and until fairly recently North Africa....

Club Directory / Scarborough Games Society

Meets Monday and Thursday evenings about 6.30 until 10.30 in the function room of Roscoe's Bar, Roscoe Street, Scarborough.

Play a wide variety of games, but the club broadly divides into 4 groups: RPG players (generally at least one group of D&D players), board gamers (we have a cupboard full of club games, but some people also bring in games), SF/fantasy gamers (usually things like Legion, Burrows & Badgers, X-Wing, Heroquest, Bloodbowl, etc.), and the rest (Blot Action, Wild West, By Fire and Sword, Cruel Seas, Blood & Plunder, etc.).
We generally have about 70 members, but usually no more than 20-30 turn up on an evening (the room can get a bit crowded if more than 50 people are gaming at once).
There are occasional tournament/competition games, with cash prizes.

Western / Re: Pony Wars - B Troop IS coming back!

Most of the figures for the game could probably come from the existing Western range.
But 600 mounted Indians would take a lot of painting...

Thank you.
Not my idea originally, spotted it on a non RFCM game, but noticed that Warbases do movement trays that accommodate 30x30mm bases, so just asked them to do some with a slightly wider edge on one of the short edges.
Got samples 60x30 for carriers and small trucks, and 120x30 for trucks and half-tracks.

I paint the back edge of bases to distinguish platoons, but hadn't considered something like that with the vehicle sabots

PBI / vehicle sabots
September 13, 2020, 11:54:38 AM
Been playing PBI for years, and occasionally hit the issue of remembering "which group is in which vehicle", usually with hanomags, but sometimes with a carrier platoon.
Possibly solved this with a recent acquisition from Warbases (by recent, read "only arrived in the post yesterday morning")

Now just need to decide, do I want the plain ones to mark up myself, or the ones with an acrylic identifyer?
