Quite enjoyed Fistful of Dynamite. Interesting that it was released 12 months after Waterloo. Quite a different role for Napoleon, I thought!

The part of Juan Miranda was specifically written for Eli Wallach but sadly he had other commitments so they gave the part to Rod Steiger who IMO plays it badly

Would I be wrong in thinking that Black Powder has Warmaster roots?

Black Powder is Warmaster with all the good bits taken out - in my opinion

There is a free variant of Warmaster called Black Powder Tactical Commander - google "black powder tactical commander"

This is my favourite figure - the tubby general with the walking stick from the old SCW range

Used in both my SCW Republican army and my Chinese Civil War army

Die Fighting is a set of rules for the Horse & Musket period by Bob Jones.

An interesting set of rules were each side has a finite number of dice per game

Basically when you run out of dice it is game over

Here is a review https://scottmingus.wordpress.com/2011/03/12/die-fighting-new-gaming-rules-set-for-the-horse-musket-period/

I've played them twice

This one has kepi and sombrero.

The 3rd guy from the left is wearing his bandolier across his right shoulder

Will you be doing a pack of troops who are left-handed?

:)

would headless figures, with maybe a dimple to aid drilling for heads, be an option?

I think for the MexRev ranges it's a good idea.

There are at least 3 types of Federales headgear - Samur kepi, British style cap and Sun helmet

It would make sense to have 1 pack of headless figures with a choice of headgear rather than 3 packs, one of each type

On the film front there is also And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself, The Wild Bunch and Fistful of Dynamite aka Duck, You Sucker!

I will probably use  the original AK47 rules with the 30-30 Carabina variant

A while back I picked up a set of Mex Rev scenarios for  A Fistful of lead  called Viva Revolucion! Although it is for single 28mm figures I intend to use  a base of 15mm figures instead

Excellent news - I look forward to buying the figures

unless you could adapt the AK 47 system along the lines of the old variant. I can think of some pretty neat political flow charts for a start.

I've got a couple of the old AK47 political flow charts for "30-30 Carabina" but the link to the original page no longer works

I too would be interested in PP doing a MexRev range

Sounds like The Sword And The Flame

People either love or loathe these rules

I used PP figs when I did a Muskets and Tomahawks game a few years ago

The native Americans and settlers were used straight out of the box

Roger's Rangers were head swapped with berets or cossack hats

Couple of AARs where 99% of the figures are Peter Pig
