PBI / Universal Carriers
August 15, 2020, 10:22:33 PM
Can anyone help with points for universal carriers- there are no specific points costs listed in the company architect, unless I use the data for half track + MG (13pts) for a Bren armed Carrier. Looking to add a carrier section of 3x Bren carriers to a LW British army for some mobile fire support instead of an MMG Plt.
Thanks
Al

In the victory points table where it mentions D6 (E=3.5) etc what is E? I see it mentioned a few times (E=1.5 or E=2.5) but cannot work out what the value is.

General discussion / How to distract a wargamer
September 06, 2019, 08:34:46 PM
So, travelling North on the M1 today something caught my eye, as I approached and passed by 2 x low loaders carrying Skdfz 251/10 and an Opel Blitz and a Skdfz 251/1 and a Horch car on their way to Blitzkrieg through Nottingham. Good job I was the passenger and not driving at the time! Anyone else spot randoms whilst on the roads of the UK?

I happen to be down South with work for all of September, so will be attending and might even push down for the Arnhem day later on in the month.  Need to keep my weekends full somehow 😁

Same technique for securing figures followed by PVA watered down onto the base then a dip into a tub of Bird grit. Extra PVA and subsequent dips/sprinkles if required. A watered down tan brown soaks onto the grit, followed by a dry brush of light sand colour to highlight.

Interested in why people clip corners on bases as I never manage to get even clips on the edges.

Just picked this up as a second hander. Looks like some good inspiration for PBI scenarios, not read in any detail yet but some good descriptions of Company level actions in the final stages of the War.

I agree with Alex here, although Alex M was already taken I had to go with the numbers.  :D

A lot of users on here have nicknames but sign off with their real name, or those in the know reply to posts using their real names. I think the use of a "real" name is more friendly, besides I'm not clever enough or funny enough to make one for myself.

Les,

QuoteHave you used a standard size for the building bases?

All templates are just a tad under 12x6 so they sit just inside the markers nicely with no overlaps, this helps visually with the identification of squares.

A retro fit idea TBH, I only had 2x AT guns to base and a pack of 40x40 based to use.
