Regiment of Foote (ECW) / Removing 1/2 base units
June 03, 2017, 04:39:50 PM
Units are removed when they are reduced to half a base. Does this apply to artillery as well? If so, artillery (1 base units) would be eliminated on a single unsaved hit.

With the exception of Marston Moor, all the RoF scenarios have the attacker's edge at the top of the page and the defender's edge at the bottom. For Edgehill, the attacker's edge is at the bottom. Since the attacker is supposed to deploy on the high-numbered rows, I think the row and column labels on Edgehill are reversed. That is, the column labels should be, from left to right "H G F E D C B A" and the row labels should be:

1
2
3
4
5
6

The initial squares occupied by units would need to be updated as well.

But why does this matter? The victory conditions give VP for possession of "row 3" squares. I'm presuming that "row 3" refers to the 3rd row from the defender's base edge (row 4 on the map) rather than the 3rd row from the attacker's edge. Am I correct?

Parliament has 6 foot units and 1 armored pistol cavalry to deploy in squares D4 and E4. But squares only have a capacity of 3 units, so there isn't room to put 7 units in two squares. The armored cavalry is only one base in size; is that meant to be free like light guns and dragoons?

Can Charles deploy his guns on the hill?
