Post by: John in York on November 27, 2017, 02:09:45 AM
First game of Bayonet & Ideology at the club tonight after many happy hears of playing BAIT. International Brigade v Falange. Figures and terrain all looked out. Really looking forward to it.

Sounds fine John. Let me now hat issues come up. Maybe I can help ease the stress?

Really enjoyed the game. Some nice touches such as Assets really add to it (there was a big discussion about whether multiplr 6s lead to multiple assets -
I pointed to what had been said on this forum). The Chase produced hoots of laughter as piggy 6s came up far too frequently.
In the end the Falange swept round both flanks but the IB were able to hang onto 2 of the objectives. This gave a minor victory to the attacking Nationalists.
Minor grumbles were about the amount of difficult scenery but we had maxed out on Buildings and the attackers only managed to move 1 in 7 templates.
More problematic was return shooting. There was a feeling that you darent shoot at anybody. I think it just means you pick your targets carefully.
I loved it and we will definitely play again.
(No photos I'm afraid as the ones I took didn't come out too well).

Thanks for the feedback John.

What more can one ask for than hoots of laughter in a game?

Looking forward to hearing about your next one!
