Very useful Martin. What music are you using in the assault video....sounds a bit !like Hand of Brothers?
Also what editing software are you using?
Thanks
Sean
Very nice!
A few comments / queries (everything was clear to me except for the Assaults):
a) the pre-assault shooting, and all the business with the gaining of a casualty, seems to have been skipped over [at about the 0:33 mark] on the Assault video. Was this deliberate? I thought it might be quite interesting to talk about wounded bases in a bit more detail
b) at the end of the Assault, the Sioux had 3 wounded, but were only able to take 2 back with them (since they were down to 2 unwounded bases). This left one wounded base that could not be recovered, but the voiceover seemed to imply that this was "all right" and there was no commentary on the fate of the (blue) wounded base left behind. Perhaps worthy of a little more explanation?
c) it might also be handy to use two differently-coloured sets of dice (i.e. one for each side) in each example to make things crystal clear?
And 2 more general queries:
i) what is the background music [Sean beat me to that one]?
ii) where did those nice-looking buildings come from?
Glad you enjoyed them. I can do another assault think later in the week
I am using/abusing Apple iMovie. It is a good package but there is so much to learn. Not very intuitive for me. The sounds are all supplied with the package. You can drop other music on to it but you tube will delete any video they find (?) with copied music,
The buildings are some old Heljan plastic ones. including my much loved my lumber yard. you can still get them from railway stockist. they are Ho but work well with 15mm
Great stuff Martin. The music is great whatever the source.
I agree with Simon that the videos are short sharp and to the point. Lovely stuff.
