Are those in control going to post a banner headline for Stewarts Peter Pig gaming weekend.
And if we have to have WS on the banner why are we not posting Martins new rules for Vietnam and SCW, this is a forum for RCFM after all.
Hence the title to this page "Area for discussion of RCFM and anything Peter Pig"
I would agree...
Les,
All good points [although I would gently suggest that, since Walter Schnaffs is a build on Square Bashing - and requires the SB rules in any case - it is indeed relevant to RFCM].
I'm afraid that there is only one person who can change or edit the banner headlines: I will give said person a nudge!
Simon
Yes I did appreciate that you do still need SB to go with WS.
But it is a shame with all the rules Martin keeps publishing they have never appeared, even when first published.
Dear Admin, please resize the height of the opening page banners so they are both the same. It is very frustrating attempting to click on links which suddenly bounce up and down on the screen. Thank you.
:)

The moderators (Sean and Cpt. Kilgore) have privilege to add news and calendar items. I have added a 'how to' in the admin sandpit
thanks
Simon
Thanks Simon - I didn't know about the news privileges!
It was set up as a trial, I don't think it was every formalised.
The alternative is we turn it off, if its a distraction ..
Unless others object, I vote we keep it (especially as I now have a licence to meddle...).
As Les points out, there is some exciting stuff (new rules, new figures, etc) that would be good to highlight in this group: it would seem somehow wrong that TMP has a place for Piggie breaking news and we don't.
I think it's a nice feature, as long as we collectively maintain it (and avoid jigging about on the screen!).

we need to be told beforehand, rather than finding out from TMP!

As said elsewhere I will happily contribute to this now I know I have the power. As regards being aware of releases, most of us follow the Peter Pig website close enough not to miss a new release. Martin is a busy man so I think it is up to us find the information.
Les appreciates that we aren't all retired and have busy lives outside of Wargaming forum matters. We will get on it and do our best for Martin and Peter Pig.
OK, I've had a fiddle with the banners. Are we happy now chaps?
Comments welcomed!
Good work that man!
Whoever has done the page banner thing, Thank you very much. that is truly superb!
Martin, and if you let us know when you sneakily post pictures of new models on the PP website, we may even add them here too :)
Brilliant, lovely to see the pages supporting PP as well as making requests of the company.
This forum should be in support of PP as it is centred around their products, whether that is rules, scenery, figures, or vehicles.
Well done those who have made the changes.
Les,
Its aim is to support PP. The only limitation, especially around technical changes to the forum, is time. With busy work lives and families (my 7 year old is a full time job, especially on my days off!) it can be hard to keep up with developments over and above catching up with the daily posts. Trying our best ;D
I know you have a very full day most days and the hobby in what ever form comes way down the list.
I also remember how stressful going to work has become with the lack of replacement staff and ever increasing bureaucracy.
Enjoy your daughter they grow up all too quickly.
Yes Les, I'm beginning to rea!use that all too quickly.
