I think this looks interesting. A days scenario for PBI?

Sounds good, Martin, and might push a number of us to get some forces done.

I'd just ask for a few months' notice - my painting calendar is now full up to the Pirates' day :)

That's a good one for me. I can field USMC, Japanese and Aussies.

At sometime I would love to do a 14th Army. After using some of the figures for my 8th Army and my Irish/British for AK 47.
But as per usual as Simon says our painting schedules are quite stacked ?
Best I can do for now is use my 8th Army.
But does look a good project.

I think my recently finished 14th army could double as Australians without much trouble.

I have Japanese in the painting pile.

I do not think the figures we use are that crucial.

The Australians can be represented by 14th army or 8th army etc.
We have plenty of Japanese amongst us.

I suggest the scenario is kept very general in order  to allow players some latitude.

Scenario restrictions would be concerning scenery choices and lack of vehicles.

If you are interested in attending what are your thoughts about this idea.
Probably at entoyment?

Reading about the new campaign

Australians didn't have MMGs or med mortars as high comd thought to heavy and ineffective in thick jungle

Japanese had a few mountain guns

So small arms and bayonets the order of the day

At the moment TCR. Battle of Cunaxa and MoCB and on my mind.
Also what are we going to do for 6-6-26 ? Also SB ?
Before we go to the Pacific?

Yes, there is a lot coming up.

1. TCR this Saturday 14th March
2. Cunaxa 29th March
3. SB day 20th June
4. 6th June is an Entoyment PBI battle day. I think Stewart did discus a WW2 day at Entoyment with Peter, but not sure what Peter's thoughts were? I think 6th June is ideal for some D day related PBI.
Anyone who is attending have any preferences?

A "Kokoda day" would be interesting for the mass of jungle and the lack of heavy equipment. It is only an idea at the moment.  Possible days might be 18th or 25th April.  July 18th , 25th?  Maybe just 4 players and 2 tables?

Good excuse to get my Jungle scenery done, as I won't get it done for MoCB in April ? I would prefer the July dates ? To give me chance to get scenery done.

If we do 18th April we probably have enough scenery and troops?

If you wanted to get some mileage out of your jungle scenery Miles we can play again in July with some Japanese V all comers.  You can then put your time into the Wittman scenario for June.

I can  make some more Jungle if needed.
Anyone else interested in 18th April?

I don't mind, Wittman scenario doesn't need too much to do.
We could do the Jungle game twice anyway ? April and again in July ? Australians in April which will be mainly Infantry only, and Burma in July With some tanks and vehicles ?
Like you said might got some scenery done by then ? Once we have done Cunaxa I will crack on with some Jungle stuff for MoCB anyway ?
We do need to get some PBI this year ?
