First steps.
Call to action.
I have done the game layout for the battle.
I will put a link here later today.
I hope folk who are playing don't mind the strictures.
Generals abilities will be rolled for in the normal CK way.
No rolling for lates and reinforcements.
Pre-game scenario will be done.
No game direction imposed after initial deployment.
2 tables and 2 games on each = 4 games.
Your thoughts.

Martin,
Thanks for doing this.
I'm very happy with the principle of you "directing" here - it's what we all need.
I won't attempt to opine on the mix of forces or battle set-up, as I've still to read the articles I bought last weekend.
However, I would gently point out that the cavalry seem to be drawn from the Later Persian (list 15) and the armoured hoplites from the provisions of list #14. I'm personally fine with this as it's a scenario, but just being helpful (? ;D ).
I am planning to have a cavalry unit (I'd thought armoured) and a General (I'd initially thought Persian) done by the time of the game. But as the figures are still in their packets, I could do unarmoured cavalry + Greek General instead. I'm a little loath to firmly commit to doing more at this stage, but I may be able to.
Could you please share what of the two army lists (and we'll of course need 2 of everything for two tables...) you have / will have, and what you need participants to bring with them to the games day, please?
Simon
Hello Simon
I will make a super sized list of units and maybe folk can fill in next to each line what they have.
Then we can arrange stand ins for anything that we are short of.
Greek hoplites. I think armour would make them very good, intentionally? Maybe we should make them unarmoured mostly?
martin :)
Thanks Martin - a super-sized list would be very useful.
I'm very happy for the hoplites to be armoured in this battle scenario. As you say, they are supposed to be very good (and I think their historical losses were very low?).

I'll build a Rebel force

Thanks
See "Cunaxa MUSTER" topic on this forum for what we have.
