I hope we're allowing Creepers, as they're what I've just painted up!
Simon
I'm game for some TCR. Have a table set-up and now 2 Armies (3 if you include creepers)
Derek
I am Ok with creepers.
My caution would be that playing with or against creepers is very different to the standard game.
Players new to the game can be slaughtered by well commanded creepers.
In addition, a force will need re pointing re mines when fighting creepers.
Discussion?
It is easy to get three games or even four into a battle day.

No worries miles, there will be plenty of spare armies.
martin :)
Thank you.
Miles
Since Martin asked for comments, and this is likely the last TCR games day before the rules are formally published, I'd vote for using Creepers, and in all games (not just the third - sorry Stewart).
If Creepers are too good or too bad on the day, then maybe the rules will need a tweak? I'd hate (having just painted a force - I confess my vested interest) them to be relegated to an "exception".
If they can't be used "fairly" in a normal game, doesn't this point to something somewhere being wrong?
Simon
Creepers are fine Simon, but they work really well for an experienced player and really badly for an inexperienced player.
I am happy to use and fight against them, no worries.
martin :)
1. Martin + table + spare forces
2. Derek + table
3. Stewart + table; two forces
4. Miles: still learning and will need a force
5. Simon: Creepers + cloth + full set of counters; no blockers, mines or scenery done yet

I must admit I would like to see what the creepers do, as I will be facing them at Colours this year ?
I will need to buy the best fighting force from PP to hopefully defeat them in the near future?
At Colours I will need a PP force to put on at the show.
Miles
Entoyment gave me a refund of £20 on Saturday AK day.
I will put some of his into the TCR day fee and keep some back into a "kitty" to help offset table costs for when players don't turn up.
A small but nice piece of news.
Thanks to Entoyment.
martin :)
Great news Martin, very good of Entoyment
Stewart

5. Simon: Creepers + cloth + full set of counters; no blockers, mines or scenery done yet

Creeper v creeper games are fine if players have creepers.
I have not played that sort of game yet. Should be interesting.
martin :)
A race to see if I can get some figures done ?
Force no 1
Praetorian 40k Terminators
Legionnaires some odd figures either large or on bikes
Auxiliaries Old Citadel Judge Dredd figures.

Looks like you have plenty of figures there Miles.
Any basing is OK.
The rules have three types of troops.
Praetorian =mighty soldiers. 1 per base. 3 is usually enough
Legionaries= good soldiers. 2 per base. 4 is usually enough.
Auxiliaries= Less good soldiers. 3 per base. 5 is usually enough.
Do note that there is no PBI on Saturday 28th.
martin :)
I was going to ask about Saturday? Many thanks.
I was going on the 1-2-3 theory with the maximum per band needed ?
5- 11-13 bases ? (5-22-39 figures)
So Round or Square bases ? I know Simon is doing Round bases for his Creepers ?
Miles
Any shape size. However, you might want to use different shapes so that the difference in type is very clear
martin :)
That's a good idea.
Might have a look at that ?
Miles
I think we can get three games in easily.
Because the force sizes are small players might use three different forces.
1. Martin + table + spare forces
2. Derek + table
3. Stewart + table; two forces
4. Miles: still learning and will need a force
5. Simon: Creepers + cloth + full set of counters; no blockers, mines or scenery done yet
6. ?
Is anyone here on the Entoyment players(?) group to promote this event please?
martin
Well hopefully I might actually have my own force ready by Saturday ?
I won't have any Blockers that's something I have yet to do in the future.

Impressive Miles. Looks like you are about there.
martin :)
Very good Miles
Stewart
Thanks, getting there. Blockers will have to come later. As it's the Persians next couple of weeks !
I do like the PP Praetorian goes together very well, and is good size.
I am going to include a picture with it up against the old sized/style 40K Terminators so a Space Marines from the old days will do just as good, they did a load that was multiple pieces so you might be able to mix in some of the "limbs" and weapons to the PP body as an example ?
It's just to show that with this game system you can mix and match old space "junk" with new to make the forces look a bit different from everyone else's ?
Colours, Materials and where you buy and obtain your materials can be very varied; From Bought to the recycle bin ? To what's in your shed, loft or workshop ?

It does look like I will have a force done, but some of my bases will not have sand and grit on them ?
No Blockers, as I am snowed under with "work" for the next project, Persians for Cunaxa.
Miles
No problem with blockers Miles .
I will make up 12 or so strips for you to use.
martin :)
Many thanks Martin
Miles
No worries . I am doing them right now. They will be dry in the morning.
martin :)
