Title: Veteran forces - Number of Platoons
Post by: Nigel Tullett on January 08, 2026, 10:18:41 AM
I am being really dense here, but looking at the Spanish Foreign Legion which is listed as Veteran I am confused by the force list. The main rules say that veterans always have only 2 platoons as their core force, but the army list shows three and the additions points have been used to purchase other additions rather than an extra platoon in the example company. It's similar with the Moroccans.

I believe those are  big mistakes Nigel.
Mentioned here  before.
I suggest that you just ignore the examples and work out what you would use.
That will work fine.

Martin, Could you not change that on the PDF version ?
Obviously too late for the printed versions ?

I can solve that problem for you Miles.
Send me an e mail with the name you want on the rules and I will send you a new pdf free of charge.

Is there a file listing any corrections or changes to the rules. I still have the orginal version printed on different colour paper from 2003 and a printed 2017 version (nice glossy paper). I have been comparing the two and despite my initial preference for the first set because of its detail and used for many games before I sold my armies😤, the  2017 version seems smoother, particularly the why assets are taylored for the different factions.

Fear not Nigel
The  errata you need is to ignore the example force for Legion and Moroccan armies.
There may be some other bits, but nothing that will not be obvious or game changing.
