Title: Building an army
Post by: Moggy on September 19, 2025, 04:15:58 PM
Finally gave in and starting an Army for this as I have at least 1 army for most PP rulesets.

I am sure I have bought the rules and have them but sure cant find them anywhere so its possible I haven't..... yet.

I have already bought the troops for the basic 4 units of 11 bases including a command base (Sombrero boys and girls). 3 Mg bases and 2 field guns.

Can someone remind me of what the other extras are so I can get another order in to bring Martin's retirement closer or at least more comfortable!

Cheers

Derek

Moggy - what's all this about encouraging Martin to retire?  :o

Notwithstanding this, I often refer to the helpful confirmation emails that the PP workshop send out to remind myself what I've bought. Then it's "only" a question of finding said article. Or else buying it again, but in the full knowledge that it's a duplicate / back-up.

Helpful as always Simon but have a vague recollection of buying the rules at a show. Have been through the inbox and Gamming directory and nothing there.

Still a helpful list of what the possible extras are would make me grateful so I can plan my next purchase.  :)

Derek,

The allowed extras will depend to some extent on the army that you are building.

I suggest you buy a PDF version of the rules. They will come quickly, with no postage, and will be a useful back-up to the hard copy if you find it again :)

I don't have the rules to hand. But basically three field guns, three MGs, plus around 13 extra infantry bases and 14 extra cavalry bases of cavalry would give you all options  but I don't think you can get all of that into an army.

Oh, bombers as well...blokes with dynamite. 3 bases from memory.

I really need to take this to my club as I haven't played in a while.

Christmas is coming. And though he didn't say which Christmas I might get it, Martin has promised a character pack for Pancho Villa and Zapata if I'm a good boy. 😉

I thought that the Peter Pig videos would help here.

But I see that there are none for MexRev listed on the PP website. Have they been kidnapped?

The 3 field guns comes as follows:

2 field guns is one addition

Another addition is 1 gun and 4 mounted

A further addition is 1 gun and infantry.

Must admit, this is why I now have a tendency to buy the Rules as a printed copy and a PDF backed up to my Google Drive.
I can always read them one way or another ?
