I have made 5 AK videos.
There are another 4 I will get done this week.
This should give players a good view of the main rule aspects.
I will put the links here and on the PP site when I check the uplaods
Amy part of AK that you think really needs a video?
I have done communications, which I think is the hardest part to understand.
martin :)
I'm fighting the good fight on the AK47 Facebook page with those who are saying they won't buy the rules because they're gridded, or don't understand the concept of gridded games.
I am telling them there are videos to explain, that no tape measures is liberating and that the game plays fast and furious.
Thank you Sean.
I suspect there is little point.
They have an opinion which they cannot change.
I am happy to lose the sales and just chat with those happy to use grids.
They may be part of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" types who do not understand the concept of improvement.
They have hand wound windows and single speed windscreen wipers which are not broke so do not need fixing.
You wait until they hear decimalisation is coming.
Waste of time.
martin :)
Loving the video explanations Martin.
Thank you Dex
You tube can be very useful.
There are a few more videos to be done.
martin :)
There are 15 videos for AK now.

Impressive effort Martin. Loving the videos as usual. I do like the play through videos as it makes all the individual rules come together. The PBI one was very good as is the new AK47 one 👌
Martin,
I've watched the first 5 or 6 videos and found them useful, thank you. I'm looking forward to watching the new ones sometime this week.
I'm currently reviewing my existing painted AK figures to see what I need to add for PE.

Thanks for the support chaps.
I will make a couple more videos if rule queries come up.
Martin you will have enough figures etc as the armies are now a bit smaller.
You will need 3 sets of labelled casualty markers as the unit they belong to does matter. That is about it.
martin :)
It's inspired me to continue my solo play knock out competition, pitting all 12 armies against one another. Especially now I have my fancy dancy tokens from Peter Pig!
Just remember that it is the winning and not the taking part that matters Sean
martin :)
And not just winning, but winning big and kicking your opponent when he's down to make sure he and his clan don't get up to depose you?
Simon
I do need to add some militia bases, MGs, mortars, recoiless rifles and towed guns.
Vehicles wise, I have too many of nearly every type. I can equip 4 armies with tanks if the units are homogenous, more if I mix types e.g. one Sherman with one T55.
One thing is troubling me, is it important to know which bases that are placed in the "dead tray" belong to which unit for "damned militia" purposes? I can mark the initial bases but what about the additional bases assigned during army building?

Good point Martin
Here are some solutions.
On the battle sheet there is a note of what each of your units originally had.
Just make sure each unit does not exceed what it originally had.
Also
There are only usually three foot units in your army. Just have 3 distinct mini trays or pieces of card. One for each foot unit. Most for units will only have 1-6 bases off table.
martin :)
Thank you Martin, I shall get out some tools and make a tray with 3 compartments.
I will cut some 12x6 inch templates too as I have saved some mdf for PE scenery.

Make sure you use strong language if any cut goes wrong.
I usually glue components to my trousers or shoe.
That will help.
martin :)
Great videos Martin. They are always enjoyable to watch.
regards,
Nick

"What're we supposed to use, man - harsh language??" ;D ;D ;D
Jon.
Aliens?
martin :)
I binge-watched (who needs Netflix?) all of the AK47 videos last night, to refresh my memory in advance of Colours on Saturday.
Very nice!
And Martin has a nicely soporific tone of voice ;D
