Title: Printed PBI
Post by: Forst22 on August 06, 2025, 08:04:31 AM
I note there will be a printed version of AK out later in the month.

Any plans for a printed PBI as well.

Will but both if available!

Hello Graham

AK will be here in printed form at the end of August.

PBI. I am awaiting  pdf sales to improve.
I cannot spend money with little prospect of a return/profit.
If I were wealthier then no problem. I am not so I cannot.

I use Docx Direct

https://www.doxdirect.com/ (https://www.doxdirect.com/)

Very quick amd great quality. You can choose colour/black and white, spiral or perfect bound, with or without cover and page size (A4 or A3).

I think I paid around £25.

How many pages in a) the PBI 2025 rulebook and b) the PBI 2025 Architect book, please? Just wondering for purposes of getting a printing quote...?

Completely understand, Martin - finding the funds for a physical print run is never easy!
I'm just a little surprised that PBI isn't one of your best-sellers, given the overall popularity of WW2...?

Still looking forward to getting my hands on the new AK47 as a printed version!

Stewart, did you mean me? If so, I got PBI printed by doxdirect.com. I went for a hardback 131 pages and it cost about £42. I kept the Company Architect as a pdf and will print off pages as I need them. If you go for ring bound then the cost drops to around £27. This is full colour. Obviously the more you have printed the cheaper per copy it becomes.

PBI is a fine set of rules but there is a lot of competition out there.
Many WW2 players want to use WW2 tanks etc but not a WW2 game with historical restrictions.
I am  happy that we have rules we like. Better that, than compromising what we feel is right in order to tap into more sales (?).

AK is 147 pages.
As said above, a greyscale copy should be cheaper.
