This is a very expensive book. £55.
It is a a great book though.
I have mentioned it here before as this fascinates me.
It shows which tanks were used in Berlin with lots of additional information.
Wonderful.
A very specialist book.

Does it have lots of pictures Martin?
Is that a King Toger on the cover? A lovely looking vehicle.
I was sorry to miss the Berlin day.
It has pictures of all the German tanks used in Berlin. Some as dead ones and some as ready or parked. There were a set of pzI with pretend turrets that were used to train citizens for panzerfauste use. also a set of little tracked vehicles mounting an MG and multiple panzershreks. Lots of deda vehicle piles in which the occasional military bit can be seen.
Tanks etc. seen in Berlin= Jagd pzIV, 88mm, Tiger 1, Stugs, Tiger 2 Henshall, Very latest half tracks, Turrets/Hulls dug in PzIII/Panther, SDKFZ 234, hannomags/demags, Wirbelwind, Three barrelled 250 Drilling and 150mm artillery.
The dug in turrets have all received multiple large gun hits. Possibly because they were covering long roads which the Russians could shoot down.
Some of the photos go into 1946 when the US etc have zones of Berlin to control.
A 1961 picture of a panther being dug up from being used a road fill.
martin :)
I bought the book earlier in the year. Got it for less than £40 on one of their special deals. Panzer wrecks do some wonderful and expensive books ?
Give it another year or so might do another PBI Berlin Special ?
Thinking maybe next year we could do an end of the war ? Across the theatres of war ?
