A 1940 game. Mike with his dutch v martin with the Germans.
Mike had 4 platoons and a unit of Dutch ACs.
martin had 3 platoons, a mortar platoon and a trio pf PzIIIe.
Mike's D6 rolls were fine but martin's were phenomenal or jolly good.
Mike ended the game with one objective and martin had two.
Mike almost had all three objectives but martin's rapid arrival foot bounced them back.
Really nice game. I will add photographs here too.
martin :)
Was Mike using the new Peter Pig A/C's?
Sean,
Yes I was.
Unfortunately I lost the game because these excellent models were not painted to the high standard expected.
I have let myself down, my family, the RFCM group and the memory of the late Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.
My excuse is that our game was re-scheduled a day earlier and I had planned to paint them in good time. Unfortunately the German Panzers arrived earlier than expected and we weren't ready!
Martin was gracious in victory as ever.
A good game.
Mike
Typical Germans. Arriving uninvited and then crushing you beneath an iron heel.
I'm sure once painted, the new cars will do sterling service.
Buck up, Mike. All is not lost, even if the battle is. Out with the paints, inks, shades and whatever else you use, as well as your finest brushes. Pour yourself a stiff one and say " I can do this". Before you know it you'll have world beating Dutch armoured cars.
