It was the best of times (martin's Bulgarians beat Miles' British) it was the worst of times (Miles' British beat martin's Serbians).
Two really enjoyable games of SB.
Here are the queries that came up.
1.Can the building objective be placed on the road?
2. Can the occupation of row 2 or 3 with a unit be claimed for objectives occupied in rows 2 or 3 as well?
3.Does adjacent mean proxity or just the 4 facing sqaures?
martin :)
I must thank Martin for his usual Hostility and Lunch and 2 games. I think a fair result 1 game each ?
But might have been slightly different if we had the ability to re roll some of the results especially on the second games victory points table, that you would,d these days ? Would have been a very close game. But it was still fair result. I got 2 objectives and got bogged and ground down attacking the middle ground between the other 2 objectives?

Martin's usual hostility? I thinknthat comes from all of those pointless frontal assaults 😂🤣😅
I've no idea on the answers to the queries Martin. I'm sure what ever conclusion you arrived out was fair and equitable. I imagine Simon C or maybe Pigsticker Ray would know the answer.
Personally I think the building objective can be on the road but unlike the other buildings "templates" could also be anywhere else on the board, same for all the objectives if you read the narrative? That's how I see it anyway !
Rows 2-3 that are not in the objectives ? Otherwise your getting double the points ?
Would be adjacent as the infantry can fire in direction as there is no face priority at the moment?

Quote1.Can the building objective be placed on the road?
P27. 15 2nd para, 2nd line. The building objective does
not have to overlap a road.
Quote2. Can the occupation of row 2 or 3 with a unit be claimed for objectives occupied in rows 2 or 3 as well?
There is nothing in the rules that would prevent it. I certainly play it that way.
Quote3.Does adjacent mean proxity or just the 4 facing sqaures?
Are you refering to adjacent for support squares ? if so
p49. 1 first bullet. ..
does include diagonals...
Thank you Simon.
The adjacent I am wondering about, is the "free move if no enemy in adjacent square".
ie. is it Ok to have a free move if that takes troops into a diagonal to an opponent square.
Building objective. Do you play that it can lie on the road?
thanks
martin :)

.
p43 Extra movement 3rd para - ... into a square adjacent
(on corners or faces) ...
so no extra movement into corner contact

line on page 27 does carry on to say you can ..
