This battle day featured MALDON as the "game"
This meant that all 10 games were Maldon, but using different rule sets.
Our RFCM team played Maldon in the am using LONGSHIPS.
In the pm we used CK for the same batle.
I really enjoyed the game. I believe Simon , Miles and Nigel also had a jolly good time.
Sadly I took no photos because my attention was wholly on the game.

I for one had a jolly god time - thanks to Martin for organising us.
I forgot to take any photos of the second (Conquerors and Kings) game but took several of the first (Longships) game.
The Vikings seemed to have the upper hand for most of the first game, before evaporating at the end, leaving the Saxons with a a resounding "Total Victory".
The results were reversed in the second battle with the Vikings holding most of the terrain at the end of the game.
Thanks to Nigel (who consistently threw great morale dice throughout the first game) and Miles for joining in the fun.

I like to Thank Martin for inviting myself to play, and paying for the day.
Also an enjoyable day as well.
I do fancy next year as well ?
Thank you to Nigel, as don't get to see too much these.
Also a big thank you to Simon for doing his Saxons.
We won on the Longships which I fought we wouldn't and lost on the CK which I thought we would have a good chance to win ? Funny old world.
But we did prove why we have the battle days ? A chance to play games we might not of played for a while, and try and introduce other systems in ?
" I couldn't understand why I couldn't use my RPGs ?" lol ?
Miles
A grand day out.
Next year is Cunaxa.
Persians(with some greek hoplites and peltasts) v Persians with lots of cavalry.
Certainly worth thinking about?
CK?
