Title: AK47 2006 edition?
Post by: Richard G on March 27, 2025, 04:26:34 PM
Good afternoon
We are having an event for the AK47 day in May. The ruleset that a fellow player had and that we will be using is dated 2006. I'd like to get hold of a copy.  Is this still available or is it the same as the 2009 set?
Thank you
Richard

A tale of Africa and intrigue (possibly not).

The first printed edition was released in 1997. It was later released as a pdf in 2006.
This the front page says RFCM 1997 with a (may 2006) added to the pdf edition.
This edition 1 is still available, but only as pdf  £6.

Second edition "reloaded" is available in pdf. It is dated 2009.

Third edition (people's edition ) is out pretty soon I hope.

We are having an event for the AK47 day in May.

Whereabouts Richard?

I ran an AK47 event in Sheffield last year, in May, and was thinking about doing similar but simpler. We did manage to run both Classic and Reloaded games last time but might just go with one ruleset (maybe Peoples Edition) this time.

Thanks Martin. We are sticking with the ruleset with which we are familiar with for this project.

We are near Sleaford in Lincolnshire. Running the event as a club night. We may even entice the odd 40K player away!

That's just temptation to build a Wolfie Smith army for AK47. Scorpion tank and the Houses of Parliament as a special scenery piece...

I ve had a Scorpion 90 tank and General figure(s) since 2004. Also my first force was based on TPF.
Especially as my family ties are from South London. My mother use to tell every time the Scorpion was seen driving past Tooting Broadway in the main titles, how as a little boy, I had to have a pee right by a bin that they drove past ?
I do like the idea for a London based"special scenery piece ?"
As many capitals that came under British control did style themselves on a grand London or Victorian styled buildings? So it wouldn't be as far fetched as you think ?
