The bottom two sculpts in the photos in particular do seem a bit gratuitous...

I think that goes somewhat beyond the wargaming mandate.

What are we doing down the club tonight Reg?

We're having a nice game of POW  mistreatment and Rape. The rules are very straightforward.  :-\

Finally the Lachish after-battle scenes get sculpted. Put the impaled sculpt down on the tabletop as your "camp" base and let your opponent know how this game is going to play out.....

I have some 15mm impaled figures and piles of stripped deadcbodies for the camp of my 'Vlad the Impaler' DBA/ADLG army. They are from Donnington miniatures and they are somewhere in the unpainted lead pile...

These sculpts just go to increase my admiration for "AK126. Hardened Militis female militia" These figures are clearly female but without resorting to any caricature aspects that other sculptors do. Is Martin the only sculptor that can create genuine females?

I had an email advert from Victrix the other day. Now, I like Victrix figures for my small battle games, but their latest project is a new skirmish game based on Dark Age village riding. Much seemed to be made of the aspect of burning villages down and taking captives, with lots of new sculpts being prepared for this. I shudder to think what this will result in.
