I found this little guide chart while initially looking for colours for an Australian army in Vietnam ?
So hopefully it inspires, Helps ?

That is indeed very useful Miles. The paint numbers are just the job. Thanks
Personally I would use the recommended paints, but lighten them all. Use a little tan, flesh, yellow or white.

Yes I can see the logic in that.
I ve been using Vallejo Panzer Aces, US army Tank green for the Australian faded Jungle green which is olive based colour I believe ! as I gether being US it must be a form of OD ?
I am going to try out the big tin of  Army painter "Soft tone" Dip ? Simon Suggested I might put another ink wash on beforehand as well? So might try a washed out black wash first ?
