Loved watching the videos Martin has released this afternoon. And see that the trailer for launch on Wednesday is on PP website. So exciting time! And perfect as I have a two day PBI bash planned for next week and will be able to use the shiny new rules and company architect.
Congrats Martin on getting this to launch. Such a lot of work. Fingers crossed for a bumper start to 2025. And yes, of course I'll be ordering the printed books when/ if become available.
Thank you Nigel

Here is a link to the videos.
play tester books out tomorrow
martin :)
Martin you are in more videos than John Wayne. What a star!
john
Thanks.
I would have done them sooner, but the AA complaints stopped work for a week.
martin :)
Well done Martin. We're looking forward to playing some PBI at the Stoke club in the new year. Great little videos to get the enthusiasm up!
I finished my 14th Army today. They still need varnish but I've ran out :(
Must Congratulate Martin for sending out the Rules today. Many many thanks. These were a long time coming. But I think they are the best we as a group could get. There has many Discussions good and bad about bits n pieces of the rules. But I think it was worth it !
Hopefully now we can play all with the same book in hand ? Finally!
Looking forward to 25th January now.
The 8th Army and the commonwealth troops are ready for Action!

I noticed that the lmg option has gone from the "extras" in mortar and mmg platoons. Hadn't spotted that before and probably sensible.
The question is how do I get the rules bound? Ring binder, perfect bound (hard back or paperback), stitch bound. Oh the dilemma! Decisions, decisions, decisions. Whichever way they'll look great.
John
Thanks Martin
For all your hard work that has gone into the Architect to make it so detailed and complete
Stewart
Adding my hearty congrats and thanks to Martin on the release of new PBI.
My quandary is do i now go all in and get that1940 French company? I really do not need another company!
And to also say it has been a pleasure to be part of this group and to participate in the discussions. I hope to get to a PP battle day at some time.
Happy New Year everyone.
I thank all those involved in PBI 2020.
The covid did cause the biggest delay.
PBI is quite a complex set of rules due to its size.
The basic mechanisms are very simple, but the attendant detail makes the rules very big.
I have emphasised in the videos that players need to start simple and then build up.
A problem is that players want to try out a new set of rules. They decide than in order to test the new rules they ned to put tanks, AT weapons, various quality units etc all on the table for their very first game.
This will cause lots of reference to the unread rule book by the only player who has a copy. Usual conclusion from this is :- "I just want to roll a few D6 with Toby making all the decisions and umpiring the game. These rules require more than that. I ain't playing that again"
martin :)
The videos are excellent Martin. I especially enjoyed the gamette. I think the whole series is essential viewing not only for us old hands but for every new player to PBI.
Thanks Sean
I intend to do a few more videos soon.
Any aspects of the rules you think need a video?
martin :)
Watched the videos this afternoon.
Well done Martin, they are really good.
regards,
Nick
Thank you Nick
What others are needed?
martin :)
I don't think there's anything obviously missing Martin.
I particularly enjoyed the gamette video. Little snapshots from games like that work really well and can be inspirational. Maybe a couple more like that using different armies and scenery that showcase different aspects of the rules in action?
regards,
Nick
Good suggestion Nick
martin :)
I agree with Nick. I know they are hard work, but I seem to recall there was part of a game with Stewart and Les from the last edition amd the Vietnam one was good.
They both inform amd inspire. So maybe another theatre with different armies or part of an actual game would be good. I think you've covered off all of the instructional points needed.
OK. I wl do a couple of game "sections".
martin :)
