Anyone about or just started a new company for PBI.
I am thinking of 1940 Dutch. The infantry look nice and PP make them. Armour is poor, but a couple of ACs would be nice. The field guns look good too. The infantry platoons have a medium mortar in them.
Another thought is for a Hungarian late war force. They have their own tanks. They might look too much like Germans though?
Each force could be painted in a week or two.
martin :)
I've just completed USMC. Takes me about two months to do, not two weeks. Had thought about doing French Foreign Legion, but for now I'm adding to my Japanese so that I can field them as raw. Dutch have never appealed to me, nor Hungarians. FoW do Hungarians and Dutch armour etc can be found on some 3D print sites.
I still have summer Finns, late FSJ, another early war British and various Germans to do.
I haven't decided on my projects for the winter months. One will be PBI. Others could be C and K Crusaders or Carolingans, SB late Germans or Russian Civil War, or Samurai.

There is a Southampton meeting on December 7th. Fancy AK, PBI, CK then John??
martin :)
AK would be good. Do others want to join us? However I won't know if I can attend until nearer the time, so for me it will have to be a provisional yes. Shall I put a post out?
John
going to be a no from me Im afraid. Already booked for a craft fair. :(
Derek
Yes please John.
I will say AK so that folk know what they are volunteering for?

A recipe for a nice company to serve 100 games and a variety of venues.
Building a company normally has the following tasks.
1. 140 figures. Including deads and crews. 17 packs . £85
2. 3 or 4 vehicles and 2 guns. £30
3. 44 bases. £6
Initial total = £120
Stages
5.Create piles of figures to match bases.
6. Rough up figure bases with a file
7. Tidy up vehicles and guns. Drill aerials etc. Maybe add commanders to hatches.
8. Stick figures and vehicles on bases.Using super glue. Clip off corners.
9. Add some milliput under vehicles to add adhesion to the base.
10. Undercoat whole army in the dominant colour.
11. Dry brush, touch colour and flesh the figures. Probably not inking in case the figures go too dark.
12. Paint identity stripes to all weapon and command bases.
13. Varnish figures and vehicles.
14.Matt varnish.
15.Then add metallics to MG belts, bayonets and swords.
16. Do base effect in Tetrion and sharp sand. Add some tufts. I really like tufty.
17. Green base with yellow hi lights. If sandy/hot climate then do base in green and ochre patches.
18. Buy a RUB 12litre. Line it and put the troops in.
Complete. C'est tout.

Good idea to build a new PBI company for the WWW, Time to complete Martins suggested instruction and bring the new army along to play using PBI2020.
Great idea Martin
I've got LW Fallschirmjager in the to do pile.
To add to the far too many companies I already have.
