Title: Creating snow
Post by: Smiley Miley 66 on October 23, 2024, 03:01:04 AM
What's the best way to create a snow effect on a template that will last time after time ?
Any suggestions please ?

For snow I used the AK stuff. I found it easy to use and lasts a good while. They do a few different ones for different types of snow.

What I also found was that by sealing the lid with clingfilm I opened it about 6 months later and by mixing in a small amount of water it became usable again. Not sure if that would still work a few years later though.

I was thinking maybe a thin layer of filler ? And/or loads of PVA glue and fine sand sprinkled on top ?

You could try my trick of mixing some sand into the pva. Get some interesting textures that way and helps when you want to pile it up against something like a wall or fallen tree.
