Title: Sunday mould
Post by: martin goddard on October 13, 2024, 12:07:40 PM
Back from the workshop. Quite cold out.

Zebras both plain and etched.
There will be a pack of each added to the AK range. This can add to the crocodiles.

Some random parts for a star trooper.
I will put up a photo of the mock up this week.

Well-done, Martin.

I'm looking forward to seeing photos of both zebra and star troopers in due course.

The star trooper will be a kit of about 8 parts.
Probably 1 per pack.
2 legs, 2 arms, body, back pack plus a weapon pack.
The weapon pack is not done yet, because I needed to see how much space the arms allowed after assembly.

Each side of the body has 3 holes.
Top hole = arm
Middle hole = weapon.  Probably an "arm/limb" which projects the weapon mount to the figure's front. Probably not a sword or whip.
Bottom hole = leg

The figure stands about 30mm tall.

I want to add a flight stand but that will up the price. Might speak to Ben about 3D print?
I would like  folk to drill in a wire rod and make a base but that might be inconvenient for them?
This would make them look as if they were flying along at 2" height.
Players woud need some basic modelling skills?

Sounds very reasonable to me, Martin.

Folk will already need to stick the bits together. Creating a custom flight stand is hardly beyond the capability of many, and can add to the fun and customisation.
