I have got the armies out.
Saxons . Have the generals bodyguard unit. All armoured. Plus two champions (the maximum).
Vikings. Five fairly standard units. Each unit has a berserker to allow for some good gaming decisions.
We are doing battles today on a pretty flat featureless table. Maldon is a coastal flat bit.
Four of us.
martin :)
Enjoy!
We had 3 games in the day.
The games lasted about 1.5 hours each. Shorter time than Simon waiting for his sandwich!
The Vikings lost all 3 I think.
We solved lost of rule queries. There are some additional ones to be sorted out too.
A good crew with good games.
martin :)
A very good day of playing, very enjoyable.
Just unfortunate that Simon didn't get his Sandwich until we had a very good moan , several times ! Hopefully the young ladies will get better at this ?
But 3 very good games. 2 wins with the Saxons and a lost with the Vikings.

Most satisfying
martin :)
WE even got the pleasure of all partnering with Martin once. Good days gaming though.
Derek
A nice day, thanks for playing, chaps.
Saxon 3, Vikings 0, which was quite surprising.
3 games played out quicker than you can get a pannini - must be quite a record on both fronts!
It reminded me what a fun game Longships is. The Battle version we are doing for the SoA day, with minimal scenery, must be as simple as it can get.
As Derek said, it's almost a gamette!

Maybe a herring or road kill would have been quicker Simon?
That is why Vikings rarely ate panninis?
martin :)
So England 3:0 Norway?
