Title: Game at Entoyment LONGSHIPS 21st September
Post by: martin goddard on September 19, 2024, 11:04:11 AM
I am mainly putting this topic here so that Miles, Simon and martin can organise the day's games at Entoyment.

Secondly, other players can see what is being planned, in case they want to let us know they are coming along.

Here are my assumptions.

1. We are using LONGSHIPS rules without any changes.
2. We are using the BATTLE version.
3. The armies are Saxon and Viking. Details in the rule book.
4. Each army will have 5 main units.
5. No significant scenery but maybe a wood and some marshes for decoration? Possibly a couple of single trees which have no game significance. Otherwise the game will look too blank.
6.Two games in the day.
7. Normal pre-game events.(7D6). They are quite applicable to all battles.
8. Either army can be the attacker.
9. Normal victory conditions.

I have two armies and a cloth but others might have their own armies?
I will print off the battle sheets.

Thanks Martin - that's very helpful.

I am still working on my Saxons for next year, so thanks for the loan of the forces.

I will bring my lucky dice, rules and, since Stewart's not coming, maybe some chocolate biscuits  ;D

I'm still planning on coming along. No Army for this but promise I will get to my Vikings at some stage.

You are welcome Derek.
I will work out two armies. One Saxon and then other Viking.
I shall bring  :) a cloth and possibly some parked ships for decoration?
