Title: New battle for cK
Post by: martin goddard on September 13, 2024, 05:00:52 PM
I have tackled a famous battle.
Marathon.

A lot has been written about this battle, but I hope the CK version is playable with lots of chances for players to command their own army.

Was it a long and arduous effort to write this one, Martin?

Well at least you didn't drop dead at the end.

Very clever, but whoever came up with the name of "Snickers" anyway? Ridiculous!  :D

Marathon - a sensible name - replaced by Snickers, a ludicrous name.
Opal Fruits, made to make your mouth water - replaced by Starburst, made to make you think 'how crass!'

Can anybody think of any other poor choice changes to classic products. And while we're at it; what happened to Spangles, the Terry's chocolate bar, Five Boys chocolate and the lemonade that featured a boy with a lemon hat?

I want to know what happened to Topic bars. They were my favourite!

Simon,
Mine too. My granddaughter liked Animal Bars but they and Caramac were axed by Nestlé late last year. It's a bit difficult to explain to a 5 year old why she can't have her favourite chocolate treat.

Best wishes,
Martin from Grimsby

I used to love Aztec bars but they disappeared years ago.

I blame the Spanish.
