A tale of Two tables.
Belgians v Austrians on table 1.
Belgians won.
Serbians v Turkish on table 2.
Serbians won.
Then
Serbians v Italians.
Italians won.
I think I forgot a lot of the rules, but we had good games.
martin :)
There are a few bits that need clarification updates but that can wait for a while.
Yes a nice day's gaming. It was great to play a game with Miles, to introduce Alan to the rules, at a gentle pace so that we could research all the bits we were uncertain about. It also re-inforced my belief that the early war Austrians are a poor army.

But a good looking army, so there is that!
A day of unlucky rolling. I only won one assault! I couldn't even move any scenery to my side of the table.
But a good game.
I wouldn't say the Austrians were poor more unlucky.
Still a good game.
Miles
We had a really wild selection of poorer armies. It was good to see.
I was nice to see some cavalry on the tables.
Back to Vietnam.
martin :)
It was fun in a way to match two equally bad armies. We opted for Balkan war 1912-13 rather than WW1 so they were even worse.
Had a day with relatively poor dice in both this game and the follow on with my Italians (except for the last turn) turning what I thought a defeat into a win. Didn't help that as defender I had all terrain "stolen". Its quite hard to defend with a small army with nothing to defend apart from the objectives. Just glad Italian Artillery is good and there is a lot of it. To round it off even Gassed him on the last turn!.
Good days gaming.
