Title: Raw attack veterans
Post by: martin goddard on June 05, 2024, 07:53:36 AM
4th June
Raw Germans attack veteran US.

Raw germans. Mike's Ukrainian police. 3 tanks, 4 platoons and a pair of guns.
Veteran US paras. Stewart's. 3 Platoons, 1 engineer, 2 guns.

Quite a lot f woods and only a few buildings.
Lots of gullies too.
Initial good rolls by German left wing allowed 3 German platoons to get into contact.
British guns did good work. German guns were a bit late and indecisive.

The whole game hinged on the central objective.
The Germans got it and won.

A very close game.
This probably brings us to the end part of PBI play testing?

Nice we're "stress-testing" PBI. Now down to the final polish of the words?

I am intrigued by what the British guns were doing there, though - presumably they just "dropped in"?  :D

Yes they were airborne guns.
They frightened the two German Stugs but killed the T34.

That sounds like a very multi-national game!

Yes it was a well researched force.
It was fielded as a Police unit.
Everything was based on a German volksturm architect force.
The T34 was based on a Pz IV.

Crumbs....Stewart lost a game?

Are we sure the rules are working? 😂🤣😅

Well done to Mike for the win with what sounds like a very interesting company.
