T-shirt ordered and I am now in the process of getting my August 1914 British and Germans organised. Amongst the German troops my brother sent me were a couple of Peter Pig howitzers, very useful, and some German cuirassiers, which I strongly suspect are Minifigs. I have been able to identify them as such from the extended neck guards, the long boots, with above the knee extensions, and gauntlets. They have a good enough paintjob, but I don't like the look of the black gauntlets. Does anybody have any thoughts on gauntlet colours for this period, or should I just go with buff. Black just looks wrong to me.
From a quick check online, German Cuirassiers' gloves appeared to have been white.
That could look nice?

Thanks Simon, I think I will thus go with Vallejo white grey, as I doubt they would be pristine by the time they reach the front. Have sent a photo to upload on Flickr, but these days it seems to take forever. The fort photo was already uploaded.
Excellent, glad the photos worked, Andy.
I generally use Ivory instead of pure white (potentially as a highlight to a light grey). I've not tried Vallejo White-Grey, so will be interested to see how they turn out.

Flickr finally delivered, so here are the boys before I get to work on them. Pretty sure the horses indicate they are Minifigs.
