I watched this film again last night.
What a great film.
The colour and lack of really made the film more enjoyable.
Lots of muscular men and attractive women.
Aren't the Persian commanders horrible people?

You make a good point about colour, Martin. We all know of course, that everything was black and white back then.
Maybe we should think again about how we paint our figures?

The Thespians were all black back then... though by the end of the battle everyone was a universal gore colour if you believe Steven Pressfield's rendering of the story.

A most enjoyable film.
I enjoyed this as much as the Best of Anderson/Vangelis album 1984. Recommended.
